  1. 01HaldiElizabeth & Akshay at Kumarakom Lake Resort Set amidst the lush gardens of Kumarakom Lake Resort, Elizabeth and Akshay’s Haldi was a joyful tribute to Kerala’s cultural richness, infused with color, tradition, and vibrant celebration. The decor embraced radiant yellows in blooms and design, complemented by traditional Kerala-style furniture and touches that brought authenticity to every detail. The celebration was steeped in local flavor and artistry—featuring Shinkari Melam, appearances by Mahabali, and captivating Kathakali performances. The highlight of the day was a breathtaking Ganga Aarti performed by Pandits flown in from Varanasi, blessing the couple on the tranquil waters of Kumarakom. Guests were treated to refreshing tender coconuts, Neer Moru, live fruit stalls, chaayakada, chaat counters, and a curated sit-down Rajasthani Thali lunch. The event also offered interactive engagements like a bangle stall, Mehendi artists, kids’ zone, Tug of War, Uriyadi, and lively dance-offs—adding playful energy to this meaningful celebration.27 photographs→
  2. 02SangeetAn Arabian Sangeet at KTDC Waterscapes A night of enchantment and elegance, Sands of Time brought the allure of Arabian nights to life at KTDC Waterscapes. With a palette of royal blue, deep purple, and shimmering gold, the decor evoked the splendor of a desert palace, complete with brass candlestands, glowing lanterns, and opulent drapes. The highlight was the Grand Arabian Baarat—where the couple arrived like royalty, flanked by fire breathers, flag bearers, Arabian princesses, and a magical genie. Family dance performances, a champagne pop and pour, Bollywood and Qawwali acts, and a liquid percussion finale made for an unforgettable night of celebration. Guests were treated to a sumptuous Arabian feast by Paragon Catering, featuring chilled sarbaths, exotic mocktails, traditional soups, and flavorful live stations. Fun activities like a kids’ zone, family games, a tarot reader, and an AI photobooth added a playful touch.31 photographs→
  3. 03Cocktail PartyIn an unforgettable celebration under the stars, Elizabeth and Akshay hosted a vibrant cocktail party like no other—aboard an open boat floating on the tranquil waters of Kumarakom. With panoramic sunset views and fairy lights twinkling along the deck, the evening blended tropical charm with laid-back elegance. Guests arrived in colorful floral attire and leis, stepping into a Hawaiian-themed vibe with island tunes and cheerful ambience. The floating venue created the perfect setting for laughter, mingling, and dancing under the open sky. The highlight of the night was the magical setting itself—the boat aglow with warm lights, the horizon painted in twilight hues, and the couple surrounded by loved ones in celebration.   4. 04WeddingA Timeless Iyer Wedding at Kumarakom Lake Resort Rooted in tradition and filled with elegance, Sapthapadi was a soulful Iyer wedding set against the serene backdrop of Kumarakom Lake Resort. With vibrant hues of red, orange, and pink, and intricate Kolam patterns adorning the space, the celebration beautifully reflected Tamil heritage. Guests were welcomed with fragrant Mullappu strings and personalized ritual booklets, creating a warm and immersive experience. The wedding rituals—starting from Vritham and Kaapu Kettu to the symbolic Sapthapadi and concluding with Ashirvadam—were performed with heartfelt reverence. Live Naadaswaram and Panchavadyam infused the air with rhythm, while a live painting artist captured the essence of the day in real-time.   5. 05ReceptionA Dreamy Reception at Kumarakom Lake Resort Elizabeth and Akshay’s reception at Kumarakom Lake Resort was a magical affair blending elegance and emotion. The decor featured deep purples, reds, and pinks woven with greenery, rustic wood accents, and a glowing canopy of lights that transformed the venue into a romantic wonderland. The evening unfolded with a grand processional, a heartfelt vow exchange, family dances, and soul-stirring music by the Orfeo Band featuring Sidharth Menon. A towering 4-tier cake and a dreamy first dance under snowfall and lasers were unforgettable highlights. Guests enjoyed live Asian, Indian, and grilled cuisine, decadent desserts, and curated cocktails. With a lively kids’ zone, live painting, and a futuristic 360° video booth, the celebration was filled with joy at every turn.39 photographs→
