The Destination North Indian wedding was an unforgettable event consisting of approximately 15 ceremonies and celebrations. Guests from India, the US, and the UAE travelled to God’s own Country to participate in the three-day extravaganza. A professional team dedicated to guest relations and logistics took care of the guests from their arrival at the airport until their departure. 230 rooms were booked at Grand Hyatt Kochi to accommodate the guests and events were hosted at different banquet spaces of the property. Each day was packed with exciting events and magnificent themes, from welcome experiences to haldi, mehendi, sangeet, baarat, and pheraas. Specially curated hampers and other gifts were given to guests, which were systemically arranged and distributed every day for each event.

  1. 01Welcome & MehendiThe welcome experience was crafted with great care to ensure that our guests truly immerse themselves in the essence of Kerala. The Kathakali artists and Mayoora nrutham with the rhythm of chenda melam awed the guests at the reception. The pathway decked with traditional elements, a decorated Kerala pooram theme photo booth with elephant installation, and a scroll welcome board led the guests to the mehendi venue. The Baat function was held in the Grand Salon followed by the Mehendi. The mehendi ceremony was adorned in a Traditional Kerala theme. Mohiniyattam dancers escorted the couple to the stage and the guests had the pleasure of interacting with the special visitor Mahabali and his traditionally decked female assistants.   2. 02SangeetThe sangeet ceremony had a bold red color scheme inspired by the theme of Bombay Velvet. Rainmaker designed a two-story stage and elevated bar and created a memorable Money Heist-themed entry for the couple. The couple exchanged rings before their loved ones and celebrated their love by cutting a cake designed to match the event theme. The party was energized by the performance of playback singer, Stebin Ben and the stunning performances by the family gave the party a unique twist.21 photographs→
  3. 03HaldiThe haldi ceremony was a private event that took place in two separate locations for the bride and groom. The groom had his haldi ceremony at the Grand Salon while the bride had hers on a houseboat. Both spaces were beautifully embellished with marigolds to create a joyful atmosphere for this special occasion. The Nasik Dhol team added an extra level of energy.9 photographs→
  4. 04BrunchAt the brunch, the guests were transported into a fairytale of Alice in Wonderland filled with breathtaking décor, one-of-a-kind entertainment, and lots of fun. The couple arrived in style accompanied by an International female band and fairytale characters from Alice in Wonderland. The theme was impeccably designed and executed to the smallest details. Guests had the pleasure of interacting with characters such as the Rabbit and Mad Hatter. The talented young drummer, Steven Samuel, added to the ambiance with his mesmerizing performance. Smaller ceremonies such as Korath, Sehra bandhi, and Akasi were held before the Baraat.21 photographs→
  5. 05Baarat & VarmalaThe procession of Baraat, followed by the Varmala ceremony, exuded grandness. A team of 150 members dhol team led the procession to the venue with their electrifying beats. The groom arrived in regal style in a luxurious vintage car, reminiscent of a Rajkumar. When the baarat reached the venue the groom’s family was welcomed with cardamom and pearl garlands at baraat Swagat ceremony. The groom was taken to the varmala stage by his family. The bride made her grand entry with apsaras holding tiered lamps. The exchange of Varmala between the bride and groom took place on a lotus-shaped stage, with the beautiful backwaters serving as the backdrop.   6. 06Pheras & ReceptionThe sacred ceremony was beautifully decorated with a divine Vridhavan theme, featuring stunning floral installations and a pond surrounding the stage. The perfect ambiance was set by Musical Pheras, who infused their notes with solemn chants, creating a truly divine experience. Following the Musical Pheras, the Indian Jam Project delivered a magical performance at the reception.14 photographs→
